Regeneron Westchester Science & Engineering Fair
March 19th, 2022

December 1st, 2021 – Online Registration Opens

Teachers must register first and then work directly with their students to register them one at a time using the zFairs platform. Students should NOT register on their own.

December 15th, 2021 – Online Registration Closes

Online registration closes for student registration. No additional students may be added after this date.

December 15th, 2021 – Student Paperwork Deadline

Students are responsible for uploading their own forms and paperwork ONLINE in order to qualify for Regeneron WESEF 2022. Students must use the zFairs platform to determine which forms will be needed for your project and upload signed PDF files for all required forms.  All student paperwork must include the WESEF Abstract, Research Paper, and Research Plan.

This is also the deadline for WESEF payment for Registration Fees. Student registration for WESEF 2022 is $60. Please check with your teachers to determine if your school is covering this fee or if you are responsible.

Any student that has chosen the optional, extended deadline (Jan. 15th, 2022) MUST still submit forms 1, 1A, 1B and the research plan by the 12/15 deadline. In addition, the fee for the optional, extended deadline ($160 = $60 registration fee + $100 late fee) must also be submitted by Dec. 15th!!

January 15th, 2022 – Optional LATE Deadline

Optional LATE Deadline for final registrant paperwork (must have pre-paid $160). This includes student research paper, official abstract form and any additional project specific forms. All paperwork must be received by this date. Failure to submit necessary paper work will result in a disqualification without refund.

Any student that has chosen the optional, extended deadline (Jan. 15th) MUST still submit forms 1, 1A, 1B, research plan and payment for the optional, extended deadline ($160) by Dec. 15th!

March 18th, 2021 – Project Set-up

All students MUST drop off posters the day before the fair, between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Somers High School on Friday, March 18th, 2022. Either the student, parent, friend or teacher may drop off the board – the fair participant does not need to be present at the Friday drop-off.

Failure to have boards dropped off and set-up for final inspection by this time will result in a disqualification.

  • Boards must be completely assembled with title, slides and any additional materials/ props that will appear on the table.
  • Wi-Fi is NOT available at Somers HS and access to internet for presentation purposed is against WESEF/ISEF rules.

March 19th, 2022 – Regeneron WESEF 2022

Regeneron WESEF 2022 is currently scheduled to be held as an in-person, live event. Students will present 3-6 times to professional, highly-qualified judges for a maximum of seven minutes uninterrupted. This will be followed by a five minute Q&A period.

**Tentative Schedule** for the Fair Day (subject to change as necessary):

8:30 – 9:00 am Students Arrive (wait in auditorium)
9:00 am  Judges Arrive – (proceed to cafeteria for breakfast)
9:20 am Floor opens for students – Attendance will be taken at your posters
9:30 am Short Judge Briefing in the Auditorium
10:00 am – 3:00 pm Judging Sessions
Lunch will be provided
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm Public Viewing Session – Participants are REQUIRED to stay at their posters until 4:30 pm
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm Poster Breakdown/ Removal & Clean Up
5:00 pm – 6:45 pm Dinner on your own
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm WESEF Awards Ceremony
9:00 pm – 10:00 pm Finalists Meeting – parent will be required to attend if selected for trip to Regeneron ISEF or the Genius Olympiad

Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair 2021 is planned as a hybrid event with US students attending in-person and international students attending virtually.
